Prime Minister NODA's BLOG

February 17, 2012 at the Budget Committee of the House of Representatives in response to a question from Representative Daizo Kusuda

“A ‘Plum Mission’ from Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine visited the Prime Minister’s Office. My thoughts at the time were that we are now suffering from severe snow damage. We have the battle against the nuclear accident. There is the reconstruction of the disaster areas. The economy and finances are in a very trying state. While we face various challenges, I have come once again to feel strongly that we must create a world in which the Japanese people are able to feel at ease as they enjoy the flowers of the various seasons―plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, tulips, hydrangeas, sunflowers―as each season rolls around.”
