"We should have pride in the potential of our national land as well as in our technological capabilities that are able to take on the challenges of new frontiers. Japan adjoins the sea. In this vast marine area, it is very likely that mineral resources including methane hydrate and rare metals are also buried in considerable abundance. If we thoroughly survey for these and assertively develop the technologies to make use of them, Japan has a bright future ahead. What's more, Japan's future prospects also include the growing potential of space. Japan's space technologies have now achieved a cutting edge level. Our nation Japan is a country holding dynamic potential into the future."
